Dr. R Ravichandran received his BSc Applied Sciences degree from PSG College of Technology in 1981 and MSc Applied Maths with computer Science Specialization from PSG College of Technology in 1986. He received his Master of Philosophy in Case Base Reasoning (CBR) from Bharathiar University in 1994. He received his Ph.D in Computer Science in the field of Software Engineering from Bharathiar University in 2013.

He has 28 years of teaching experience in PSG College of Arts and Science teaching Post Graduate courses and research in Computer Science.

He has 10 years of software consulting experience at KG Information Systems and he is responsible for design and development of software solutions at KGiSL. He was instrumental in getting CMM - Level 4 and ISO 9001 for KG Information Systems in 2003 and ISO 9001 for KGiSL Institute of Information Management and KG College of Arts and Science.

He has designed and implemented e-Governance solution for Coimbatore Corporation which has won 2 National awards by the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India for best e-Governance portal. He has also designed an on-line educational tool for a university in USA and implemented the on-line educational tool at KGiSL Institute of Information Management.

He has published more than 15 papers in International and National Journals and guided more than 200 projects at post graduate level. Also he has guided 15 M.Phil scholars to get their research degrees.
